A multicultural experience

Students on campus at UEM benefit from an enriching international and multicultural experience as part of their university education.

Their daily life involves interacting with students and professors from varied international backgrounds. Students attend classes and conferences in English and have the opportunity to add to their international education by carrying out part of their studies at prestigious universities in the United States and Europe, as well as at any of the international universities within the Laureate International Universities Network.

Each year the University welcomes more than 1,000 students and professors from all over the world, providing UEM students with the experience they need to be successful in today’s global world.

A multilingual education

In order to integrate the student into an international society, it is fundamental that they come into contact with foreign languages in their very first year.  For this reason language training has become one of the cornerstones of education at the University.

Being able to speak foreign languages has become absolutely necessary for university students when it comes time to join the workforce, regardless of their field.  For this purpose, UEM offers students one of the best multimedia language centers available.

Students have access to the best materials and media available as well as completely flexible timetables, providing them with what they need to achieve fluency in and command of foreign languages. Thanks to the use of multimedia learning techniques, students at UEM acquire language skills that will allow them to work anywhere in the world. 

Language training from day one

International academic offer

The commitment UEM has with internationality can be seen right from day one.  We guarantee the possibility of studying abroad for a semester or full year to any student who desires to do so.

The University offers the greatest number of educational opportunities in the entire world:

  • An international semester in Spanish, English, German, French, Italian or Portuguese; more than 250 options around the globe.
  • Specialized destinations for English study without leaving Europe: Liverpool University (United Kingdom), Staffordshire University (United Kingdom), Cyprus College (Cyprus), Istanbul Bilgi University (Turkey)
  • A semester of study abroad and internships at the University of Arizona (USA), or a diploma and internships at the University of California at Irvine (USA)
  • Graduate study with an international focus in several different areas, through teaching and internships at several prestigious institutions abroad, or an International MBA from IEDE Business School, which includes a four-month period of study in each of the following continents: Europe, America and Asia
  • Summer courses abroad at universities in The United States, The United Kingdom, France, and Germany, as well as internships at many other international destinations.
