EHEA at Universidad Europea de Madrid
UEM Goals
Our educational model transcends the traditional models found at Spanish universities, adding the learning of professional competence and ethical values in each area of studies. Universidad Europea de Madrid has adopted the principles of the European Higher Education Area, which are based on an individual’s comprehensive learning, placing special emphasis on the maturity and independence of students, so that they learn to adapt to a constantly changing world. The principles and objectives of our model are as follows:
- To meet social demands, both in the sense of intellectual capitalization of society as well as meeting the needs of employers.
- To place the student and their learning process at the center of the model.
- To offer hands on training in the classroom, in labs, and in real businesses, as it is essential to their learning.
- To promote internationality, both on and off campus, in our academics.
Strategic plan of action
- A commitment to personal development and academic performance through personalized learning.
- Effective development of competencies as attained through the use of active learning methods and technological resources.
- Opportunities for international learning, offered by the Laureate International Network of Universities, of which UEM is a member.
- Continuous improvement through a quality control system that takes into account the expectations and satisfaction of our interest groups.
- The flexibility that makes enrollment possible for students who combine their studies with other responsibilities and life-long learning.
