Project: Effect of oral supplements containing conjugated linoleic acid and ramified amino acids on the markers for health, performance and rehabilitation in healthy people and athletes (CICS 09/2009)
Objectives of the Project(s):
- To analyze the effect of oral ingestion of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (on an empty stomach and postprandial at rest) on the glycemic response followed by different physical workloads, in healthy people and athletes from different disciplines.
- To analyze the effect of oral ingestion of Ramified Amino Acids (on an empty stomach and postprandial at rest) on the glycemic response followed by different physical workloads, in healthy people and athletes from different disciplines.
- To analyze the effects of supplements containing Conjugated Linoleic Acid on the physical performance and build of athletes from different disciplines: resistance, strength training, and combined sports.
- To analyze the effects of supplements containing Ramified Amino Acids on the physical performance and build of athletes from different disciplines: resistance, strength training, and combined sports.
Activities
Below is a summary of the activities carried out by the Nutrición Center Research Chair from June to April 2010.
- During June and July, exhaustive bibliographic research was carried out on the following subjects:
- The effect of using supplements containing conjugated linoleic acid on health, well-being, weight control, and physical performance in healthy people and athletes.
- The effect of using supplements containing ramified amino acids on health, well-being, weight control, and physical performance in healthy people and athletes.
- In July 2009, the following project was presented: Effects of oral supplementation containing conjugated linoleic acid and ramified amino acids on the markers for health, performance and rehabilitation in healthy people and athletes. This was approved on January 26, 2010.

First Nutrición Center - UEM International Symposium.
The objective is to disseminate and raise awareness on the use and application of natural supplements for improving health and the quality of life in healthy and sedentary people, as well as for athletes.
