VIII UEM Award for Teaching Innovation

Jornadas Internacionales de Innovación Universitaria

We invite you to participate in the VIII edition of the UEM Award for Teaching Innovation

This award aims to encourage innovation in the classroom and recognize the work of those professors concerned with adapting their teaching methods to the new educational framework of the EHEA.

The object of these awards will be the presentation of projects in any of the following areas:

  • Lifelong learning
  • Connection to the professional world. Reinforcing entrepreneurship
  • Values development
  • Online and hybrid learning
  • Competence-based assessment
  • Faculty Coordination

To participate in this award edition, at least one of the authors of the work must be registered in the Seminar before the deadline (June 20, 2011).

Works must be original and unpublished (without dissemination in print or digital format and with no ISBN). Works that have received previous awards or prizes, either public or private, will not be considered. There is one exception: it is possible to present a paper or scientific poster with content similar to previous editions of the Seminar.

Reports of the works presented on innovation will be issued in the space reserved for such on the Seminar’s online platform.

Only material received before the deadline for entry of works will be considered: June 20, 2011.

The awards amount* to the following:

  • A first prize of 3,000 €
  • Two second prizes of 1,000 €

* Awards are subject to tax withholding according to that established by Royal Decree 214/1999, dated February 5th, which approves the “Reglamento del Impuesto Sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas” [Regulations on Personal Income Tax].

The Awards Ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the VIII International Seminar on Innovation in Higher Education, on July 11 and 12, 2011. Finalists will have the opportunity to make a brief presentation of their work.
