The Volunteer and Cooperation Office is a space of openness and diversity for all who are committed to social justice. It aims to heighten awareness and mobilize the university community, promote ethical values and attitudes and foster Corporate Social Responsibility on the part of Universidad Europea de Madrid.
Towards these ends, we work with volunteers, NGOs and departments within our university.

Awareness and volunteer activities:
Volunteers (students, professors and employees) become involved in the implementation and operation of activities throughout the year: Fair Trade Market; Amnesty International’s Human Rights Group; thematic and training sessions (skills, volunteerism, sports and social integration, human rights, corporate social responsibility, etc.), soccer matches for social inclusion, exhibitions, conferences, roundtables, social cinema cycles, theater, etc.

We also invite you to participate in NGO volunteer programs (scholarships for the disadvantaged, leisure or digital inclusion activities for senior citizens in residences, companionship programs for students and people in general with disabilities, etc.

“University for Development” Program:
Through the “University for Development” program, we make it possible for students to collaborate on an international cooperation project as part of their final year project or other subjects.

Depending on your degree program, interests and the actual needs of the projects being undertaken by NGOs in developing countries, you may carry out a project from Spain or even go abroad, accompanied by a tutor and with the technical support of the Volunteer and Cooperation Office.

Are you keen to get to know the realities of the developing world and donate a few weeks of your time to an international volunteer program? We can give you information and advice.

Face-to-face training:
We offer a range of training options:
- For students: Activities that can be included within the “University activities” free elective course or recognized within volunteer courses, human rights forums, “together we all win” week, cooperation for development sessions, etc.
- For professors: General and specific courses in aspects of ethics, values and cooperation for development.

Disability unit for students
If you have some type of disability we will help you integrate by finding out what your needs are, adapting your academic schedule, preparing your professors, arranging companion student assistance, and by helping you seek employment or develop an entrepreneurial business plan.
