Academic Staff

The process of creating the EHEA represents a challenge that UEM sees as an exceptional opportunity to review and update a teaching method that now, more than ever, must respond to new demands.

For this reason we devote special attention to our teachers, for whom we have developed training and mobility programs.

Training for Faculty

At UEM we are aware that our teaching team has to be able to respond to the new educational requirements of our students. For this reason we have become members of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and have drawn up a study program together with our professors where they are able to benefit from:

  • Full development of their skills.
  • Complimentary training plans that are focused on their interests.
  • The incorporation of ITs into the teaching-learning process.
  • The promotion of educational innovation (for example, the incorporation of new active methodologies in the classroom).
  • The application of new strategies for knowledge assessment.

Programs Taught:

  • “Strategies to encourage team work in the classroom”
  • “Active methodologies: The Case Study Method”
  • “ITs as support for teaching by means of active methodologies”
  • “Developing skills in the student”
  • “Teaching, planning, and alternative assessment: the student portfolio”

Faculty Mobility

At UEM we support the training of our professors and the development of prestigious research projects.

In order to achieve this, we put programs into practice at a national and European level to aid mobility, thanks to which our teachers and researchers are able to participate in and benefit from scientific and academic innovations that take place in other learning institutions.  They also increase the knowledge and competitiveness of our research teams and departments.

At UEM we provide the bases to enable the mobility of those teachers who request a placement at educational institutions abroad through a variety of channels, such as:

The Laureate International Universities Network

Erasmus Partners. The Erasmus Program offers the possibility of undertaking short placements of one or two weeks at any of the European universities who are members of this agreement. For more information, please consult: Socrates-Erasmus Program
