Online Matriculation Process

Matriculation periods

Taking into account that the academic year will officially start on Wednesday 10 September 2008, you will need to have performed your SELF-MATRICULATION by INTERNET in the following periods:

  • From 24 June to 9 July:
Ordinary call (June), for all students who pass all subjects in this exam session.
  • Students in later years with subjects pending for the Extraordinary exam sessions in July will have to perform matriculation once the grades for the aforesaid exam session are released; THE DEADLINE is Tuesday 9 September 2008.

Remember that it is absolutely essential to carry out your matriculation within the stipulated periods. Take your time to ensure that you make the right decision and not the wrong one!

We shall validate your matriculation within 24 hrs from the time it is registered online, which means you will not have time to modify it in any way.
You will be sent a confirmation that your matriculation has been registered in your student e-mail address. Consult it!

To start the academic year correctly, and in order to benefit all students overall, any students who have not matriculated in due time and form will not be allowed to take part in classes.
If the academic year has already begun, and an error had occurred, or you might need to make a slight modification to the matriculation, you will have to make the request by Internet, explaining your reasons accordingly, within a period running from 10 September – the start of the course – to 10 October. No modifications can be made prior to or following these dates.

Necessary documentation

In order to register your matriculation, you only need your academic record no. and password; by this means, you will be able to register as a student and thus matriculate in a confidential and personalised way.

If you do not have this information, we will give it to you in the Student Attention Area, in Building B, ground floor.

Observations and recommendations

  • Before submitting the matriculation, you are recommended to consult the timetables on the website, and so avoid any clashing class times.
  • You must be up to date with payments to the UEM Administration Department, and have paid the Place Reservation for the 2008-09 academic year.
  • You must matriculate first of all for the core and compulsory subjects which you may have pending from the previous year, and then complete the rest of the credits up to the limits set out in each one of the Syllabuses for each Degree.
  • Any application that may be required for your matriculation (pre-requisite, co-requisite, December exam session….) shall be automatically detected by the matriculation system and shall be processed to assess whether to grant or reject the matriculation at a later point. (which means you will not have to fill in any request whatsoever or submit a formal request for it in a separate document).
