TOP PROGRAM : Outstanding Talented People
For the third year running, Universidad Europea de Madrid is offering an innovative, high performance university Program, the TOP Program, geared towards students with gifted abilities.
This initiative, offered by the best universities in the world, facilitates the educational advancement of students at Universidad Europea de Madrid. It offers them the highest level education in order to contribute to both their personal and professional growth, as well as to progress in society as a whole.
Who is the Program designed for?
This Program is geared towards Undergraduate students from all degree programs offered by Universidad Europea de Madrid who have an excellent academic record, a high level of English and outstanding personal competences.
What does the Program consist of and how many study hours does it involve?
The TOP Program is carried out on the basis of the following content:
- Competence workshops
- Chinese
- A research project on one of the School’s lines of research
- Participation in Brújula Internacional [International Compass], a peer mentoring project for guiding international students
- The design and execution of an international cooperation project, volunteer work or entrepreneurship
- Integration into a mentoring program in which a specific mentor (very highly-regarded professional) is assigned to the student to act as a personal guide in the development of their abilities
- Individual coaching sessions coinciding with the start and finish of the Program
Duration
- Total program length: 30 weeks (October to June)
- Face-to-face study time: 5h/week
- Total study time: 10h/week

What requirements are taken into account in order to select candidates?
- Academic transcript
- Level of English
- Results from a combination of skills tests which take place during the first month of the course carried out by the Deloitte selection team (Talent Assessment Center). The skills to be assessed are:

- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Initiative and creativity
- Commitment and loyalty

2. INDIVIDUAL COACHING
Objectives of the First Session:
- Clarify the “whys and wherefores” of the TOP 30 Program (Outstanding Talented People)
- Be aware of the opportunities offered by the Program in order to be able to make effective use of it in your career.
- Increase your self-knowledge, identifying sources of motivation, resources and, as applicable, potential areas for development.
- Work with certain characteristics and models in order to improve your conversational and relationship skills.
- Reflect on the importance that conversations have in the organizational environment.
- Set up a possible plan of action to be put into place during the year that is not only focused on stimulating your academic success, but also in facilitating the development of key skills for your professional success.
- Specifically, we will work on certain skills such as the ability to solve problems, analytical thinking, communication, creativity or planning outcomes.
Objectives of the Second Session
- Establish a Personal Philosophy geared towards defining your future on both a professional and personal level.
- Reflect on the current options and professional careers and preferences that are best suited to the defined objectives.
- Undertake an exciting and challenging “life project”.
- Set up a wide-ranging Plan of Action that guarantees professional and personal success.
3. DESIGN AND EXECUTION OF AN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECT, VOLUNTEER WORK OR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
- Specific core training in international development cooperation.
- Participation and subsequent on-the-ground career placement taking part in international volunteer work or in a cooperation project in impoverished countries, in order to put your university education into practice, as well as the strategies developed by organizations in the Southern Hemisphere in order to overcome their real problems.
- Coordination on all projects: Social Responsibility Center at UEM and members of Non-Profit Organizations.
- Follow-up by your personal supervisor.
