FIRST YEAR

This year will be essentially theoretical where the students will study basic sciences and fundamental principles of dental movement, craneofacial development, biomechanics, common orthodontic apparatology and all the necessary knowledge in order to carry out a first-rate diagnosis integrated in orthodontics.

SECOND AND THIRD YEARS

Courses will be essentially practical with the treatment of patients in the clinic, putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the theoretical modules on multidisciplinary orthodontics and surgery, periodontics, ATM, implants, and orthodontics in adults, along with specific short courses in other techniques such as Tip-Edge, Damon and Invisalign, and the preparation of research on the part of the students.

The modules to be taught during this Master’s Degree are:

  1. Research methods
  2. Radiology, ergonomics, marketing and planning of the orthodontic consulting    room
  3. Theoretical bases of orthodontics
  4. Preventive and interceptive orthodontics
  5. Dentofacial anomalies and deformities
  6. Operational apparatology, cephalometry and facial analysis
  7. Preparation of fixed orthodontics (on typodonts).
  8. Corrective fixed orthodontics
  9. Diagnostic planning and the follow-up of orthodontic treatment
  10. Introduction to orthognathic surgery and treatment of temporomandibular articulation.
