PhD in Advanced Construction Techniques

Before dissertations are presented, Universidad Europea de Madrid requires students who have not previously completed equivalent courses to finish 12 ECTS credits of complementary training in scientific research procedures and methodology. These complementary courses are structured into 4 blocks covering the following material:

  • Scientific Methodology and Theory of Knowledge (3 ECTS)
  • Data Processing (3 ECTS)
  • Research-Associated Resources (3 ECTS)
  • Practicum (3 ECTS)

Once the student has successfully completed the period of credit work, and after having completed the complementary scientific training, they may present their dissertation project. When approval of the dissertation is granted, the student can begin carrying out their project. The dissertation advisor will propose different activities and deadlines to ensure the success of the dissertation.

The dissertation must be an original research project carried out by the student completing their PhD in the field of advanced construction techniques.
