PhD in Education

Before dissertations are presented, Universidad Europea de Madrid requires students who have not previously completed equivalent courses to finish 18 ECTS credits of complementary training in the latest advances in Education, including scientific research procedures and methodology in the discipline. These complementary courses are structured into 5 blocks covering the following material:

  • Advances in Education (6 ECTS)
  • Scientific Methodology and Theory of Knowledge (3 ECTS)
  • Data Processing (3 ECTS)
  • Research-Associated Resources (3 ECTS)
  • Practicum  (3 ECTS)

Once the student has completed the complementary academic research training, they may present their dissertation project. When approval of the dissertation is granted, the student can begin carrying out their project. The dissertation advisor will propose different activities and deadlines to ensure the success of the dissertation. The dissertation must be an original research project carried out by the student completing their PhD related to the field of Education.   • Internationalizing Programs. Dr. Birgit Strottman.
  • Student and Professor Mobility. Dr. Oscar García.

These main lines of research do not exclude other topics of research related to the field of Education.
